The first version of the website was made in hurry just to present the content relatively well, because I didn't know if there will be any interest in website about bikes that are not even produced any more. It used to look like this, if somebody has forgot ;)

...but the feedback was great and since now, we've had more than 4500 visitors. Apparently still lot of people are interested in some classic, tough and well engineered bikes. So I made second version from scratch, based on some more modern technologies (CSS divs took place of tables based lauout).

What do you think of it? Is it easier to read or navigate or would you prefer the old website? What would you change?

This website exist for YOU, so this way you can make it better! 8-)

yeah seriously, i never thought i woulda seen a website dedicated to the same 7 year old bike im hyped on hahah. Good work, its looking like i'll be able to keep mine alive for a while based on what i've found on here. If you have a floating brake, you should put up a page with the specs for it, so people can make their own(tie rod, get the little block machined somewhere)

Great job on the site !
I am new here on the forum and I was actually the first stocking Balfa dealer in the United States. I ran King's cyclery in Southern New England and the US importer was Downeast bikes from Maine.
I have owned, raced, wrenched on and loved sooo many balfas over the years. They really are a fantastic piece of art in machine (IMHO).
I still have a pretty tricked out 04 bb7 and a similar year 2 step DH. If you go to avalanche downhill racings website and check the applications page, the bb7 shown in the photo is mine. I live not to far from there and went there one day and Craig ( the Master ) custom machined, valved and fit a DHS rear shock on my baby. And I must say... if you haven't tried one... you MUST ! It is night and day, the bike feels like 12 inches of travel and the shock is so bullet proof it really is unreal.
I will never forget the day I opened up the balfa crate at the shop and saw the first one.... WOW..True love!

So thanks for putting up a great site and I am really glad to be here amongst the bretheren of the king ! Viva la balfa !!
