I have a 2000BB7 and would like to know what size shock originally came on it. I assume something like 7.5x2 or 7.875x2.25? Any help would be great! Thanks.

7.875 it is  as it is, it BARELY fits.

From experience I know it is 7.875" Boardbum gave you the size for the 2002 and newer frames.

Does anyone run a 2.8" stroke shock instead of a 2.75? Is it possible if the eye to eye length is the same?

To be honest mate I think it is a 2.75.
A friend of mine is selling his Push tuned Fox and says it's 2.8 - I think its 2.75 and he's just reading the spring.

I'll have to post pictures soon. I need to finish turning the shock reducing hardware tomorrow at lunch. Then let the build begin!
