Well, I've been toying with the idea of dropping the bottom bracket via new link plates. Did a little search this morning and ran across this:

This clever aussie not only dropped the bb height via custom link plates, he altered the leverage ratio to 2.7 to 1, producing 8 inches of travel from a 3 inch stroke double barrel. Pretty genius!
